Then it moves on to explain some of the international frameworks that can be used to report or alternatives. The guide gives advice on how to decide which aspects of your event you will report on and understanding the reasons why you choose these aspects. The guide covers how to use your reporting to engage others, tell your story and the different areas to focus on based on your organisation.

Since 2012 Positive Impact has collaborated with UFI (the Global Association for the Exhibition Industry). This collaboration is a great example of how Positive Impact works with industry associations to provide education on sustainability and, together with the association, tailor the content to member needs.
8 steps to sustainability was developed for beginners to sustainability to learn the steps they could be taking to implement, monitor and measure a sustainability strategy. In 2015 part of this education was delivered in a face to face format at UFI's sustainability course in Hong Kong.
This product is no longer available for sale but if you would like to find out more about other education being created with academic partners or to explore how to create education with us please email info@positive-impact-events.com.
For more information on their sustainable development actions, see UFI's website.
In 2011 Positive Impact collaborated with Leeds Beckett (then known as Leeds Metropolitan) to create online education on sustainability. For Positive Impact this was one of our first collaborations with a university partner, creating education with CEU (Continuing Education Unit) credits and using online education platforms.
The content and style of this course could now be described as outdated - a sign of the speed of change in both the online learning field and the sustainable event education field. For example, the basis of this course was BS8901, the British standard which was the basis for the creation of ISO 20121.
For more information on Leeds Beckett and the UK Centre for Events Management, see their website.

The creation of Sport Sustainability was funded by The International Olympic Committee and Sport Accord in 2012. It was originally a series of four modules two delivered by Positive Impact and two delivered by AISTS. Since 2016 the education has existed in a different format with Sport Sustainability covering the two modules of education created by Positive Impact:
- Implementing ISO 20121 (£250)
- Reporting according to GRI EOSS (£250)
This education was created to support host cities, federations and sort event organisers to understand how to implement ISO 20121 and report according to GRI EOSS guidelines. The first education module covers ISO 20121 implementation. ISO 20121 was inspired by the London Olympic and Paralympic Games commitment to sustainability. ISO 20121 is suitable for major events, including sporting events.
The second module covers GRI EOSS. The International Olympic Committee funded the creation of the Global Reporting Initiative for the Event Organizers Sector Supplement and this reporting framework has been used by both London and Rio.

Sport Sustainability is suitable for anyone part of the sport event supply chain who is ready to move beyond a beginner's level of implementing sustainability. The education modules can be purchased separately or bought together at a discounted rate of £400.
