PESTLE Analysis

Now you are going to think about issues that could effect your sustainability goals using six different headings: Political, Environmental, Social, Technological, Legal and Economic.

For each category, write down any issues that you can think of; so for example, under political you could write ‘economic downturn’ or under social ‘limited staff training’ or ‘strong staff training plans’.

A common question that people ask at this point is whether we are listing issues related to only sustainability. Remember, sustainability is social, economic and environmental activities; in reality these activities are all your business activities. So it’s hard to think of a business activity that does not fit under one of these categories.
